1988 Portsmouth Warriors -v- Stoke Spitfires

Not too sure when this game was played. It looks like Mountbatten Stadium and so must be between 1987 and 1990. As the officials are wearing 2 inch stripes it is probably earlier rather than latter. If any one knows more about this game from a Darrell Thomas tape please let me know.

    It's the Mountbatten Centre so as you say, must be between '87 and '90 inclusive.

    If anyone is interested, there is a Warriors website and I have emailed them to say I will help put the site together, but (as usual in football) no reply.

    Gordon One of the Stoke players thinks it would be 1990. When did you retire from officiating? Could it be that late?

    It looks like this may have been a 1988 playoff game where Stoke steeped in for Wrekin Giants who had an end of season injury crisis. I've changed the date accordingly but if you know different please let me know.
